Meditation:
Dharma Rain is a diverse group of people who come together to share the practice of meditation, and to study the principles of Buddhism. The purpose of the Center is to offer instruction in Zen practice and Buddhist teachings, and to provide a place where people can form a community that supports Zen practice in everyday life.
Vipassana Meditation Retreats-The technique of Vipassana Meditation is taught at ten-day residential courses during which participants learn the basics of the method, and practice sufficiently to experience its beneficial results. There are no charges for the courses - not even to cover the cost of food and accommodation. All expenses are met by donations from people who, having completed a course and experienced the benefits of Vipassana, wish to give others the opportunity to also benefit.
Dance:
Sacred Circle Dance occurs every Sunday at the Tiffany Ballroom from 10:30-12:30. The dance space is for people to express movement and celebrate being alive. One can walk into the space at 10:30 and start warming up. An opening circle happens at 11 where an intention for the dance is set and every one is welcomed into the space. At 12:30 there is a closing circle and community announcements. While dancing no one talks. Talking occurs in the hallway out side the dance space.
